World War I: Lessons and Legacies

In partnership with the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES), the World War I: Lessons and Legacies exhibit will open to the public on Saturday, April 21 at the historic White Home in conjunction with Historic Rock Hill’s 2nd Annual Antique Car Show and the 2018 Come-See-Me festival. Admission on opening day will be included with admission to the car show. Standard admission rates will apply following the opening day.

In honor of America's entry into "The War to End All Wars", this Smithsonian poster exhibition will explore pivotal changes WWI made in America's culture, as well as the far-reaching influence it had on the rest of the world. Designed to catch the attention of middle and high school students, the exhibit series features components of historical photographs, documents, graphics, educational text, and reflects the modernity the war’s end brought to the 20th century.

The World War I: Lessons and Legacies exhibit will run through the month of November.
