  • Hale Be Your Fiddle

    Experience the Music That Shaped a Revolution. Step back in time with us at The White Home on Friday, May 30th at 7:00 PM for Hale Be Your Fiddle: Fiddle Music During the American Revolution. Join historian Zach Lemhouse and musician Nash Lyle as they bring the sounds of the 18th century to life through storytelling and music. With a combined 72 years of fiddle-playing experience, this one-of-a-kind concert blends rich historical insight with unforgettable tunes that helped shape America’s early spirit.

  • Landsford Canal Walking Tour

    Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025

    1:00 PM

    Join local historians Pat Grant and Paul Gettys for a special walking tour of Landsford Canal on Tuesday, June 3rd at 1:00 PM. 

    Explore one of South Carolina’s most treasured historic sites during peak spider lily bloom season, when the Catawba River comes alive with thousands of these rare, beautiful flowers and discover the stories hidden in the canal’s stonework, locks, and landscapes as you walk alongside experts who know it best.

    This event is open to all, but please note that the terrain is rocky, uneven, muddy, and the round-trip walking distance is more than two miles.

    Bring comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and your curiosity!

    Each evening will feature local historians, scholars, and community leaders sharing insights on topics ranging from untold historical narratives to faith, labor, and cultural memory in the Carolinas.

Join us for an enlightening evening of history and literature at the White Home in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Historic Rock Hill proudly presents a special book talk and signing event featuring two acclaimed authors:

Pat Grant, Author of "Hamilton Carhartt in Rock Hill South Carolina, Laurelwood Cemetery: A History of Rock Hill's Founding Families."

Stephen Turner, Author of "The Bleachery: Rock Hill's Greatest Business Enterprise."

Proceeds from Pat Grant’s books will benefit the Carhartt Marker Fund through Historic Rock Hill.

2021 Beer & Wine Trail

In partnership with Grapevine Riverwalk, the event is taking place at the Historic Lowenstein Building at 300 Technology Center Way, Rock Hill on August 19, 2021 from 6-10pm. Guests will trail the world’s most popular wine regions throughout the interior of this historic building and taste an array of beers and wines that have been paired with sweet & savory hors d'oeuvres provided by Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails restaurant. Festivities include a wine pull and the opportunity to win a Pappy Van Winkle Reserved bottle! Dress is a summer cocktail style and join us at:
